The Pennsylvania Supreme Court engaged in a bit of damage control Monday when it suspended Justice Seamus McCaffery for his role in a porn-email scandal that’s already claimed the public careers of several others.
Chief Justice Ronald Castille went a bit further than his fellow jurists in his concurring statement supporting McCaffery’s suspension. It’s a doozy: read it here. It’s not often that one judge lays out an argument against a peer as publicly damning as Castille’s, one which culminates in Castille labeling McCaffery a “sociopath.”
Is this a great state for politics or what?
